Alchemy is pleased to introduce Lauren Margulies as our inaugural Head of Clinical Programs. Lauren will partner with her clinical team colleagues to develop initiatives that enable Alchemy’s partners to grow and enhance their community health outreach in ways that support sustainable pharmacy operations. Starting with existing clinic resources and building in elements of the FLTR (Find, Link, Treat, Retain) model, she and the Clinical Programs team seek to enable all of our pharmacy partners to eliminate barriers to care and expand their reach beyond the clinic to broaden community engagement and meet urgent public health needs.

Lauren brings more than a decade of healthcare operations experience to this role, most recently serving as Regional Vice President of Operations at Groups Recover Together, one of the nation’s fastest-growing opioid recovery organizations. There, she launched and managed clinical, medical, and administrative operations across four states (Kentucky, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia), growing Medicated-Assisted Treatment (MAT) services from 100 to 5,000 patients. Prior to that, she held senior roles at Cityblock Health and One Medical, helping pioneer integrated care models for complex patient populations. Lauren also served as Regional Operations Director at DaVita, supporting patient care at a network of dialysis centers as well as the company’s business development strategy in that area.

Lauren's commitment to serving underserved populations and expanding access to successful care models has been a consistent thread in her career. She began her career at the NYC Department of Health with the Urban Fellows Program, and went on to work at the Earth Institute in Rwanda, where she partnered with Rwandan leaders in their pursuit of reviving an underserved rural health clinic with access to electricity, supplies, and training. This experience ultimately led her to Harvard Business School to explore the intersection of business practices, public health, and leadership

Lauren’s wealth of experience and dedication to patient-centered care make her a valuable addition. Please join us in welcoming her to the Alchemy team!

"When I heard about what Alchemy was working on, it felt like my dream job. I get to wake up every morning thinking about how we can help find and treat patients with Hepatitis C in populations where the disease is prevalent, and ensure that clinics doing community-focused works can grow and thrive.
