We are thrilled to announce and celebrate the launch of Quality Comprehensive's in-house pharmacy in partnership with Alchemy! Located in the West End of Charlotte, North Carolina, Quality Comprehensive provides high-quality primary, specialty and prevention-focused healthcare services. The West End has long been considered a healthcare desert, with few providers, and even fewer pharmacies.
Two years ago, Dr. Ra'Shawn Flournoy took over the helm of Quality Comprehensive with the vision and determination to transform the clinic. His goal was to create a comprehensive one-stop shop for medical care and wrap-around services befitting of its name, serving as a beacon of care and support to the West End community. In recognition of this unwavering commitment to community care, Quality Comprehensive received the Presidential Lifetime Achievement Award from President Joseph Biden Jr. in January 2025, a national honor celebrating their outstanding service.
Part of Dr. Flournoy’s vision was to establish a pharmacy within the walls of his clinic, to ensure patients had reliable access to their essential medicines. Joining forces with Alchemy, we opened Quality Comprehensive's in-house pharmacy in record time: under 4 months from Board of Pharmacy (BOP) permit to first dispense, and just 9 weeks from DEA permitting to launch.

We didn't know when we initially partnered, but the pharmacy launch came at a critical moment. Just months before, the CVS down the road from Quality Comprehensive closed its doors, further exacerbating healthcare access challenges in the neighborhood. Speaking at the grand opening and ribbon cutting, Representative Dr. Alma Adams (D-NC) highlighted the vital importance of the pharmacy: "This is not only what we need, it's what our citizens absolutely have to have. For the people who can now come here to get their prescriptions, this is going to be a huge benefit to them. I commend the Quality Comprehensive team for this fantastic initiative."
